Congratulations on your new home. I love the alleyway. The hair salon I go to (and apparently so do the Strauss ladies) is on Locke, and I have always enjoyed the trip down the street. I hope you enjoy every moment of settling into your new place.
It appears that the back of the homes immediately abut the alley. Do you have somewhere to sit outside in the evening other than the front stoop?

Jeff: Our house does not abut the alley. Our property includes a separate parking spot on the alley. The alley is at a 90 degree angle to our street, so that it does not run behind the Locke Street houses, but behind the adjacent Aberdeen Avenue houses. We do have a wonderful little back garden, about which more later.
